The return of Jamal Fakir to the Super League fold in 2008 was a piece of news to put a smile on the face of every Dragons fan, and a fair few neutrals as well. It is rare to find a player of such bombastic, destructive ability and, especially after a horrendous run of injuries, he appears to have lost none of his go-forward. As committed as he is tough, Ja-Ja is a 16-stone monster who you would do well to not get in the way of on the rugby pitch. Making 20 appearances in 2008, hopefully the 26-year-old can stay injury free to maintain his influence in 2009 – he's just one of those players who you know you'd rather have in your side!
