At the age of 30, club captain Jérôme now qualifies as one of the elder statesmen of the club, and certainly counts as one of the most experienced, taking into account previous stints at Wigan and Warrington plus a spell in the NRL with Canberra and le jeu a quinze with Brive. He is also one of the few men in the 2009 squad who were present during the inaugural 2006 campaign.
A consistent, unflappable figure who leads by example, he does the unglamorous hard work in the front row that is vital to the machinery of the team but will rarely get him noticed as a stand-out performer. He is nonetheless a crucial part of the club and one of the most popular guys in the sport.
